Job Title: Sourcing Manager
Job Description: Due to exceptional growth, AIA Metals
needs to add a professional person to procure items from
multiple sources, prepare quotes and follow-up on
opportunities. This newly created position reports to
the CEO. Like any small business, the individual filling
this role will be required to wear multiple hats.

Responsibilities:
Vendor sourcing/selection and negotiation of pricing and
delivery for items such as sheet, coil, plate, rod and
bar, extrusions and pipe and tubing.
Quote material to the sales representative in Mexico and
directly to domestic customers.
Develop multiple sources for each item purchased to
achieve lowest price and highest quality for the
company.
Incorporate product quality specifications into all
purchase orders to maintain high company quality
standards and assure compliance with ISO quality system.
Manage supplier relationships by clearly communicating
expectations of inquires.
Strive to improve sources for new and alternative
materials improving quality, profitability and lead
time.
Partner with purchasing to insure proper hand off from
sourcing to purchasing.
Study market prices, trends and technical developments.
Advise management, production and sales of significant
market information.

is a versatile supplier for specialty metals to domestic
and international (primarily Mexico) fabricators and
processors. Founded in 1989, AIA has grown to become a
leading supplier of aluminum and specialty metals. This
privately held, family-owned business is located in
Buckner, Missouri.
Desired Skills & Qualifactions: Requirements:
BS/BA in supply chain management, logistics,
manufacturing operations, etc. preferred.
MUST have previous demonstrated experience sourcing
aluminum, stainless steel and red metal items such as:
sheets, coil, plate, rod and bar, extrusions, pipe and
tubing.
Spanish fluency preferred.
Previous familiarity and experience utilizing MS Office
Suite.
Demonstrated success in quoting and invoicing with the
ability to make sound decisions supported by facts and
analysis.
Demonstrated interpersonal savvy and influence skills in
all dealings with colleagues, customers, external
vendors, and other resources.
Demonstrated high degree of skill and ability at
managing multiple priorities and adherence to deadlines.
