Note from the APICS-KC President:

Just wanted to let you know that we had a fantastic time last week at the June 18th morning general meeting.  Rick DeBusk facilitated a great presentation and discussion about ERP system development and configuration. 

Among chapter business matters,

• VP Finance Craig Lemons gave a reporting of the chapter’s current financial condition. Next membership review of the finances will be at the September general meeting.
• Elections were held for our 2011-2012 Board of Directors officers at this meeting as well. Open nominations from the floor for candidates were conducted at the March general meeting according to the bylaws.

The following members were voted in by verbal affirmation as officers for the 2011-2012 term:

·  President – Joe Brackman

·  VP Finance – Craig Lemons

·  VP Administration – Jennifer Denham

·  VP Educational Services – Ron Platt Jr.

·  VP of Programs – Anand Chhajed

·  VP Marketing – Gregg Gimlin

·     Gregg Gimlin was also nominated for the President Elect position, but has chosen to stay in the VP Marketing role.

·     Edward Vera will serve on the BOD as Board Member at Large/VP Company Coordinators – According to the bylaws, the Chapter President may appoint one additional member to the board aside of the listed officers. 

·    Chuck Croston will serve as our Past President

We have four additional officer positions that are open; President Elect, VP Membership Recruitment, VP-Seminars, and VP-Publicity and Communications.  We have received interest from chapter members for some the positions.

If you are interested in volunteering for a Board position or a committee position, please let any of the 2011-2012 Board members know.
